Celebrating Te Reo Māori through current movies translated, voiced and performed in Māori holds deep cultural significance for our people. By integrating our language into popular media like Disney films & our own notable historical events, we affirm the value of Te Reo Māori in contemporary society and ensure its vibrancy for future generations.
This year we celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori and the exciting new release of Disneys Encanto Reo Māori (rated PG) and the dramatic historical film based on the Battle of Ōrākau ‘Ka Whawhai Tonu’ (rated M), we invite you to immerse yourself in te reo Māori on the big screen at Event Cinemas Manukau, on Monday 16th September.
‘Kawea te reo ki tua’ is a FREE Auckland City Council event brought to you by ThreeOne Productions. Limited Seating, RSVP to reserve a seat here.
